Why Do We Tithe?

We believe that our giving is a part of the reflection of God in the life of a believer. It’s recognizing that all that we have, including our finances, are from God alone and we give back to Him a portion of that gift to acknowledge our faith in Him as well as His faithfulness to us. Malachi 3:10 says, “Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.” Tithing is about trusting God.

It’s A Part of Our Worship

We include the collecting of tithes and offerings in our services as a visible reminder that giving is an act of worship. But the location of our giving doesn’t reflect the heart of our giving. Our giving is an act of worship when we give from a cheerful heart, no matter if it’s within the walls of the church, or from your computer at home [2 Corinthians 9:7].
